In 2006, Kerberos Production cooperated with Destineer develops the Sword of the Stars II game, genre of space strategy. In the area of 4x (explore, expand, exploit and exterminate), where the gamer chooses their faction first, then try to conquer their enemy.
6 years later, Kerberos announces on sequel game of this Sword of the Stars II: The lord of winter. The sequel will be displayed in its serial is never imagined before. Six races from original game and expansion pack will represented in Sword of the Stars II, yet their motivation has changed. As example, the man kingdom has learnt to be more tolerant to alien species. In this will introduce new species, Suul`ka.
According to developer, the essential improvement added is the game mechanism thoroughly. Each race will start with more developed technology. The example is that in this game there will be new class ships Leviathan, three times bigger than Dreadnought class on original game.
